NO MORE WINTER!!

I am so tired of all this snow here! It just keeps snowing and its so dang cold here that I just want to jet out of here to somewhere warm, its making me crazy! Okay, I've made my gripe for the day.

We are doing well though. I have to look at our blessings. None of us have been sick this winter (yet) and we are both keeping busy with our jobs which is a blessing. This time of year really slows down at the shop for Tony and my daycare fluctuates a lot so right now we are blessed. Last week I went to a funeral and a wedding reception. The funeral was for the sweetest lady in our ward that I met after Trevor died. Her husband is buried right in front of Trevor so we would run into eachother often at the cemetary and we became close friends. She was only 69 but had been through a lot this last year with her daughter dying of cancer and then she got in a bad car accident in November which she was wearing a neck brace for and then she got pneumonia which she couldn't get better from. She is happy now which makes me happy but I will never forget her warm embraces whenever she saw me and her laugh and smile. I'll miss you LaRae!

Then there was one of the YW who got married who I got to work with when I was in YW's. She is so cute and it was weird seeing her in a wedding gown. She looked like a baby playing dress-up even though she's 19. Then I remember, oh yeah, I was only 19 when Tony and I got married. Man, how time flies!

Tony and Skyler just got done last week taking a hunter safety course and they have been enjoying target shooting quite a bit. Tony wants to buy a hand gun shortly and get his concealed weapons permit so he is protected. He has really enjoyed shopping for guns to see which one he wants to buy. He eventually wants me to have one too to protect myself since I work here at home alone with kids all day. I'm not as enthusiastic about the whole idea as Tony but it would be fun to go shooting with him for fun.

I just got a new look done yesterday cause I needed a change with this cold winter so I chopped my hair off as you can see. I love it! Its maintenance free now and so cute on me if I don't say so myself. Tony loves my hair short and he's always wanted to have me look like this. So that is what I did to cheer me up when its cold. This is all for now since I've written a novel here. Hope everyone is well. Take care now..........

Happy New Year!!

I decided I would start a blog for our family. So many of our family lives away from us that this would be a great way to share about our family.

Our family had a great Christmas this year! We were truly blessed! Andrew and Skyler recieved more than they should have but Andrew was able to be generous this year since he has a job now. He bought me an Ipod Nano and I screamed when I opened it! I have been wanting one of these for sooooooo long to store our family pics and my favorite music on forever. Of course, I could never justify buying one when the family always needs something. I told him he shouldn't have spent that much on his mom but he told me that after all the things I've done for him over the years I deserved it cause I was great mom. WAAAAAAA! What mom doesn't wait for the day that she hears her child say this to her. Anyways, he spoiled me.
Tony and I were able to get-away for one night and stay in a hotel for New Year's Eve. It was so nice to be alone and enjoy being together. We both have been working so hard and hardly see eachother anymore.
Tony is keeping busy at the shop now the holidays are over. He still works alone but thats the way he prefers it as he can get more done without employee's to have to babysit. I'm full in my daycare and somedays I wonder why I don't just get a real job. I have good days and bad and some kids and parents are tolerable and some aren't.

Anyways, tonite Skyler is going to take a math test to see if he can skip Pre-algebra in jr. high cause he is so advanced. I'll let you all know how that goes. Have a great weekend!
